Orders & shipping

How much is shipping?

Free. Every order, every time. No minimums, no codes.

How long will my order take?

Every order is printed on demand in the USA, so we need a little time to make it. Handling takes 1–2 business days, then delivery takes 4–7 business days — so roughly 5–9 business days total from order to doorstep. For full details, see our shipping policy.

Will I get a tracking number?

Yes. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order ships. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder. Still nothing? Email us with your order number and we’ll track it down.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet — currently US only (all 50 states + DC). International shipping is on our roadmap. Join our newsletter to hear about it first.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If your order hasn’t entered production yet, yes. Email us as soon as possible at [email protected]. Once it’s in production, we can’t cancel — but you can return it under our 60-day return policy.

My order hasn’t arrived. What do I do?

If it’s been more than 14 business days since your order was placed, email us with your order number. We’ll either reship it or issue a full refund — your choice. More detail in our shipping policy.

Returns & refunds

What’s your return policy?

60-day hassle-free returns. If you’re not happy with your order, you have 60 days from delivery to return it — unworn, in original condition. Full details on our refund & returns page.

How do I return something?

Email [email protected] with your order number. We’ll send return instructions within one business day.

Can I exchange for a different size?

Yes — same process as a return. Email us, send the original back, and we’ll ship the new size as soon as we receive it. Exchange shipping is on us.

How long until I get my refund?

We process refunds within 3–5 business days after receiving the item. Your bank may take an additional 5–10 business days to post it. The refund goes back to your original payment method.

What if my order arrived damaged or wrong?

Email us with your order number and a photo. We’ll reship or refund — your choice — and you usually won’t need to send the damaged item back. See our refund & returns policy for details.

Sizing & fit

What size should I get?

Comfort Colors garment-dyed tees run true to size with a relaxed, unisex fit. If you’re between sizes, go with your usual size for a relaxed look or size down for a more fitted feel. Check our sizing guide for detailed measurements.

Will the shirt shrink?

Minimal shrinkage. All our blanks are pre-shrunk during the garment-dye process. Follow the care instructions (cold wash, tumble dry low) and the fit stays consistent.

Are the shirts unisex?

Yes. All Amo Luz tees have a relaxed unisex fit. They work great on all body types — the garment-dyed drape gives a flattering, lived-in silhouette.

Product & quality

What are your shirts made of?

Every design is printed on the Comfort Colors CC 1717 — a 6.1oz, 100% ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed, pre-shrunk heavyweight tee. Hoodies and sweatshirts use equivalent garment-dyed Comfort Colors blanks.

What does “garment-dyed” mean?

The shirt is sewn first, then dyed as a finished garment — not before. This creates a broken-in, lived-in softness from day one. No stiffness, no adjustment period. It also gives each shirt subtle color variations that make it feel unique.

Where are the shirts printed?

Every Amo Luz design is printed in the USA.

How do I take care of my shirt?

Wash inside out in cold water. Tumble dry low or air dry. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Don’t iron directly over the print. The garment-dye process means your shirt arrives soft and stays that way. More detail in our shirt care guide.

Are the colors exactly as shown on screen?

We do our best to photograph colors accurately, but monitor settings vary. Garment-dyed fabrics also have natural color variation between batches — that’s part of the process, not a defect. Each shirt has its own character.

Custom & personalized orders

Can I customize a shirt?

Yes. Our custom book lover shirts let you add your name, your book club name, or your reading list to a range of bookish templates. Same Comfort Colors quality, made just for you.

Can I order custom shirts for my whole book club?

Absolutely — that’s one of our most popular options. Browse our custom templates, pick a design, and each member can order individually with their own name or the club name. For large group orders, email us and we can help coordinate.

Can I return a custom shirt?

Custom shirts can be returned if there’s a print defect or quality issue — we’ll refund or reprint immediately. We can’t accept returns for change of mind on custom text choices, but exchanges for a different size are always available. Details on our refund & returns page.

Gifts

Do you have gifts for book lovers?

We do — a whole section of them. Browse book lover gifts organized by recipient: for teachers, for mom, for her, for librarians, or for book clubs.

Can I add a gift note?

Not yet through our checkout, but email us after placing your order with the message you’d like included and we’ll make it happen.

What if the gift recipient needs a different size?

They can email us directly for a gift exchange — we’ll handle it without involving the original buyer. We can do a size swap or issue store credit.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

All orders are processed through PayPal. You can pay with your PayPal balance, linked bank account, or any major credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) — no PayPal account required. Full details on our payment methods page.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. PayPal handles all payment processing with SSL encryption and PCI DSS compliance. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

When am I charged?

At the time of purchase. Because every order is printed on demand, we charge when you place your order — not when it ships.
