We want you to love what you ordered. If you don’t — for any reason — we make returns easy. No guilt trips, no 47-step process.

Return policy overview

You have 60 days from delivery to request a return on any pre-designed Amo Luz product. That’s twice the industry standard because we’re confident you’ll love it — but if you don’t, we’ve got you.

Items are eligible for return if they are:

  • Within 60 days of delivery
  • Unworn or gently tried on (no stains, no damage, no wash)
  • In original condition with print intact

How to start a return

It takes about two minutes:

  1. Email us at [email protected] with your order number and the reason for the return.
  2. We’ll respond within one business day with return instructions and a return shipping label.
  3. Ship it back. Drop the package off at the designated carrier location.
  4. Get your refund. We process it within 3–5 business days of receiving the item.

Exchanges

Need a different size? Wrong color? We handle exchanges the same way as returns — email us, send the original back, and we’ll ship the replacement as soon as we receive it. Exchange shipping is on us.

Custom & personalized orders

Shirts from our custom book lover shirts collection are made to your specifications — your name, your book club, your reading list. Because of this:

  • Print defects or quality issues: Full refund or free reprint. Send us a photo and we’ll take care of it immediately.
  • Change of mind on custom details: We can’t accept returns on custom content choices (name, text, etc.), but we’ll always work with you if something doesn’t look right.
  • Wrong size on custom orders: Exchange available — same process as above.

Refund details

When will I get my refund?

Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item. The refund goes back to your original payment method.

How long until it shows on my statement?

After we process the refund, your bank or credit card company may take an additional 5–10 business days to post it to your account. This timeline varies by financial institution — we can’t speed it up on our end, but the refund is on its way.

What gets refunded?

The full product price. Since shipping is free on all orders, there’s no shipping cost to worry about. If you used a discount code, the refund reflects the amount you actually paid.

Return shipping costs

For standard returns (change of mind, wrong size), return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless we provide a prepaid label. For defective, damaged, or incorrect items, return shipping is always on us — we’ll send you a prepaid label.

Damaged or defective items

If your order arrives damaged, has a print defect, or we sent the wrong item entirely — that’s on us. Here’s what to do:

  • Email [email protected] with your order number
  • Include a photo of the issue — this helps us fix the problem and improve quality
  • Choose your resolution: full refund or free replacement

You don’t need to return damaged or defective items unless we specifically request it. In most cases, we’ll ship the replacement or process the refund without asking you to send anything back.

Items not eligible for return

To be transparent, here’s what we can’t accept returns on:

  • Items returned after 60 days from delivery
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Custom/personalized items (unless defective — see above)
  • Items purchased through third-party retailers (if applicable)

Gift returns

Received an Amo Luz shirt as a gift and need a different size or it’s just not your genre? No problem. Email us at [email protected] — we can process a gift exchange without involving the original buyer. We’ll issue store credit or exchange for a different size/style.
